Fall 2018 Mini Sessions

Mini sessions this year were a big hit! I love being able to offer this for families where it fits their lifestyle. Maybe they don’t want to spend a lot of time getting family photos done. Maybe they only really want to focus on one great whole family photo and don’t need a lot of extras. Maybe they want something a little more affordable for their budget. Whatever the reason, I am happy they booked me for their session. Honestly, you can get A LOT of photos taken in 20 minutes. And…I am not the best at narrowing down images. :) They are all so good!

Here are some of my favorites from my mini sessions. Some were in Carmel, Zionsville, and Greensburg. But, they all were wonderful! I had such a great time with each one of these families.

Kirkpatrick Family/Lincoln 6 Months - Greensburg, Indiana Family Photographer

Lincoln is 6 months old! This little guy has the best “old man” presence ever! He has the appearance that he could tell you so many stories or that he is going to scold you for something wrong. Either way, I love all the looks he gives me! Watching little ones change is so fun to watch.

With having his milestone sessions throughout the year, Lynsi also wanted to have some family photos taken as well at one of the sessions. So, this session wasn’t completely about little Lincoln. James and Lynsi’s other kiddos also got some attention too. I loved all their outfits and the spot was perfect for their little farm family.

The Miller Family - Greensburg, Indiana Family Photographer

Tyler and Sammi have been friends of mine since college. I got to photograph their oldest when he was a newborn. Since they have moved a couple times over the last several years I haven’t gotten the opportunity to shoot their family photos very often. However, they are finally back in Indiana!! And that means I will get to see them so much more!

This family is seriously one of the most loving families I have captured to date! There were so many kisses flying during their session. You can tell they love to cuddle and give kisses! The little ones were great during the session. I mean, who doesn’t get happy for bubbles and binkys?

Baby Gweneth - Lifestyle Newborn Session - Greensburg, Indiana Newborn Photographer

Cate and Chris welcomed their baby girl into this world after 37 hours of labor. But, sweet baby Gweneth "Winnie" was totally worth the wait. I had a lovely time capturing their beautiful home, nursery, and brand new baby girl. 

Winnie was wonderful for her session. She had a few moments of bright eyes and looking directly at me, but then after getting her nice and cozy she fell asleep for the rest of the session. She has lots of hair and is just perfect in every way! I'm excited to see if she will end up with curly hair just like her momma. 

I love lifestyle sessions because I have the opportunity to photograph the family in their own environment. It is a perfect time to get a photo of the outside of their home as well as their nursery and other rooms. Cate has done a wonderful job of decorating their quaint, beautiful home. I also loved capturing their puppy, Murray, in some of the pictures. He was so good for the session, too! 

One last thing I wanted to point out was the adorable book they had on Winnie's shelf. It is called 'Finding Winnie'. Cate and Chris went through IVF to have their baby and after having baby Winnie, that book they had seemed appropriate to be sitting on the shelf. They finally had found their sweet Winnie girl!

Jacobs Family - Greensburg, Indiana Family Photographer

I have spent the last year watching sweet Porter grow. I was honored to get to do his newborn and six month sessions and now his one year session. I was glad we got to finish with the whole family together for this one. Porter has grown into a handsome little guy. And big brother, Conner, is such a cutie too! 

We met for their session at Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park for a perfect evening session. The light was beautiful and the weather was amazing. We had had some really hot days before their session, but it was about 75 and breezy that evening. We could not have asked for better weather. Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

Baby Ari - Greensburg, Indiana Newborn Photographer

Welcome to the family of five club, Kanner Family! I am so happy I got to come and snuggle on your newest little one. I had such a great time getting to know your family during your session. 

Ari Hayes is seriously the cutest little newborn ever! And even if he was awake pretty much the whole session, I loved it!  I loved big brother and his cautious, protective, big brother vibe. I loved big sister's spunky, vibrant, "steal the show" attitude. I loved the bond mom and dad had with each other and to their new little one. 

Before you know it, Little Ari will be running around, climbing up on everything, trying to keep up with his older siblings, and causing his mother much anxiety(as I know from experience)! :) But, until that day... enjoy those baby snuggles, sleepless nights, dreaming smiles, and all the firsts as they come along.
