Madeleine Turns One! - Greensburg, Indiana Children's Photographer

Madeleine is ONE! I cannot believe it! It seems like just yesterday that her momma was telling me she was pregnant with a baby girl! I was so excited for their family. I know how much they wanted her in their lives. I know how they longed to hold her. And now she’s here! And she’s ONE!

I was honored to be a part of her birth story and be one of the very first to meet her. I have loved to watch her grow over the year. I was lucky enough to photograph her every 3 months for the first year. And I might say…she is absolutely beautiful!

I can’t wait to watch her grow from a sweet toddler all the way to an independent, young woman. The world is yours, pretty girl!

Nolan Six Months Old - Greensburg, Indiana Family Photographer

Happy Nolan is six months old! He was super smiley for his session. Since it was freezing cold outside, we planned to meet at the Indianapolis Artsgarden downtown Indianapolis. The natural light is gorgeous and definitely warmer than being outside in 20 degree weather!

I love seeing this family and getting to catch up with them. Evelyn kept wanting me to hold her even though she wasn’t as interested in getting her picture taken as her brother. She’s a sweet little girl and great big sister. They both are growing so fast! Before you know it, I will be posting about Nolan turning ONE! And I can’t wait! :)

Davison Maternity - Greensburg, Indiana Family Photographer

Adrienne and Mark are one of my past wedding couples. I love when my brides become mommas and want me to photograph their growing families. I love watching the changes as the whole family develops and grows as individuals and as one unit. Adrienne was a gorgeous bride, but seeing her as a soon to be mother is even more beautiful. Mark is going to make a wonderful father. I can’t wait see him hold his little baby boy.

We're Going on a Bear Hunt! - Boden turns 2!

Last weekend we celebrated Boden’s birthday. He loves the book We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. I decided it would be fun to make that the theme for his 2nd birthday. We decorated with as many stuffed bears as we could find around the house. For lunch we had chili and hamburger sliders with sides of “bearies”, a jello river, and thick, oozy mud(dirt pudding) for dessert. Boden’s Bear Cave Cake was made with brownies and even had a bear with two big, googly eyes.

The kids made binoculars for the “Bear Hunt”. We read the story to them as they made their way through the different obstacles set up in the basement. Tall, wavy grass — deep, cold river — thick, oozy mud — big, dark forest — swirling, whirling snowstorm — narrow, gloomy cave. They had so much fun!

The Hahn Family - Greensburg, Indiana Family Photographer

This family session was absolutely perfect! A beautiful family, in an amazing location, wearing great complementary outfits. Momma, you planned everything wonderfully!

It’s funny how small the world actually is. Beth found me through a family I photographed up in Indy. But, the funny thing is, her husband is from my hometown! And when they wanted to come down to the local Christmas tree farm, I was ecstatic! Since moving back to Greensburg, I hadn’t done a session at Bohman’s Christmas Tree Farm yet. I was very thankful they gave me permission to do some sessions there.

The Walton Family - Greensburg, Indiana Family Photographer

The Walton Family lives in our old neighborhood. Now I live an hour away from them! I was so happy when Katie contacted me about another family session for them. I love watching these boys grow! They are so fun! And that makes them easy to photograph because I feel like they always have smiles on their faces.

We met halfway at Southeastway Park to be able to get the session it. It was a BEAUTIFUL warm fall day. Perfect for a family session with little one. I just love how these turned out!
